Multi-disciplinary programs
The department offers multi-disciplinary majors. Four programs including Industrial pollution division, municipal pollution division, industrial hygiene and safety division, environmental planning and management division were tailored to meet the needs and interest of the individual.

Equal Emphasis on Theorem and Practice
The undergraduate program is to give thorough training in fundamental engineering principles with an intensive introduction to each of the specialization within environmental engineering. The curriculum with equal emphasis on "theorem" and "practice" provides a combination of classroom and laboratory education.
After graduate, students can engage into professional work of the environmental engineering, civil engineering and chemical engineering.

Inter-discipline Integration
All faculty members received their doctoral degrees from well-known universities and have double training in environmental-related fields such as civil engineering, nuclear engineering, chemical engineering and mining engineering. All faculty members have a great deal of experience in industrial researches and execution of government projects. Furthermore, they participate in or conduct integrated inter-discipline research.
The professors of the department strive to educate their students to recognize their professional and personal obligations to society.
